It's a visual world

Broadcasters are no longer the only people with the power and facilities to transmit video. Today, thanks to the digital magic of the Internet, everyone can get their business "on air" - showing customers, suppliers and partners around the world why and how they should be doing business with you.

Clearly this is a fantastic opportunity. The question is, where do you turn? Traditionally there are three choices: make a film yourself, hire a cameraman or engage a marketing agency. But:-

  • although anyone can pick up a video camera, making a watchable film is a different matter. Anyone can mow the lawn but that doesn't make them a landscape gardener.
  • there are hoards of freelance cameramen out there but you have to know what you want them to do. Then you need a video editor. And a scriptwriter. And a project manager. Frankly, without broadcast experience, trying to co-ordinate this lot is like herding cats.
  • there are plenty of production companies who'll provide a team of creatives to envisage your story and oversee the production but it could cost a substantial amount and take a long time to turn around. This is the wedding planner approach to video; fantastic on the day but six months in the making.

Ours is a simpler, more straightforward offer. Our background is in television news and broadcast journalism. We know how to tell a story, in video, with voiceover and interviewee sound-bites. We turn up, shoot what's happening at your company and turn that into a TV news report. It's fast, professional and cost-effective.

And there are always plenty of topics to film:-

  • Product launches (eg at your premises or at hired venues)
  • Exhibitions (eg trade stands or community events such as county shows)
  • Sales promotions (eg clearance sales, one-day promotions, weekend events)
  • Customer events (eg social events such as go-karting, or marketing events such as priority customer evenings)
  • Community events (Have you sponsored any local events? Are your staff taking part in a fun-run? Are you providing equipment or services to a local charity? etc)

Those reports can be distributed in a multitude of ways:

  • Your own website
  • Your own TV channel on the web
  • Local newspaper websites - as a 'video news release'
  • Trade magazine websites
  • Industry websites
  • Broadcast TV news - local & national news, home and abroad
  • Broadcast TV channels - specialist channels for your industry
  • Corporate TV - niche satellite channels directed at particular industries
  • Public Internet channels - such as YouTube or Facebook

The combination of the Internet's power with the ubiquity of YouTube and BBC iPlayer has made Web TV explode into the hottest medium of the moment. Television is no longer restricted to licensed broadcasters - anyone can be involved and now is the time to do it.
